Washington Commanders' quarterback Jayden Daniels is going through the first rough patch of his NFL career.
Washington Commanders' quarterback Jayden Daniels warned us in preseason that not everything will be perfect in Year 1, and while his team has shown glimpses of its potential to sit at 7-4, there's still a lot to learn.
Currently in the middle of a two-game losing streak for the first time this season, the Commanders are staring adversity in the face in a way they haven't under the guidance of head coach Dan Quinn.
Also, it is Daniels' first time going through a down period in his NFL career, but he doesn't seem bothered by it because he knows that success isn't linear in the league.
“I don’t know if I’ve ever had a two-game losing streak,” Daniels said. “But ups and downs, you got to learn different things throughout the rookie year. As I said at the beginning of the season, not everything’s going to be perfect, even though I wanted it to be, but that just comes with playing the position. You gotta go through adversity. It’s how you respond. I feel like we’ll respond great, we’ll rest up and get back to it.”
With a locker room that hates losing and a head coach that preaches mental toughness and is actually excited to go through the tough times, there is little wonder that Jayden feels the way he does right now.
