The Washington Commanders, led by first-year head coach Dan Quinn, picked up their sixth win of the 2024 NFL season following an 18-15 miracle over the Chicago Bears.
Amid a stellar rookie season, Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels won more hearts with his late-game heroics in Week 8.
As Washington was down three with three seconds remaining in the game, Daniels only had one option: a Hail Mary.
At the Commanders' 48-yard line, the former LSU Heisman winner ran a long scramble drill before heaving the ball to the end zone. It was tipped and fell into the hands of wide receiver Noah Brown for the touchdown, ending the game and giving Washington the win.
As the players and coaching staff came rushing onto the field in celebration of the game-winner, Commanders tackle Trent Scott attempted a chest bump with what appeared to be a member of his coaching staff. But it went wrong as the assistant was sent flying to the ground.
Fortunately, the staff member popped right back up and continued running around the field while Scott remained where he was, flexing and screaming.
The moment was posted on X by the NFL and has over 500,000 views and counting. NFL fans had their jokes after seeing the incident, taking to social media to leave their comments.
"too funny! He might feel it tomorrow," one fan said with multiple laughing emojis.
"Bro got decked and got right back up like it was nothing it didn’t even phase him"
