Commanders Zach Ertz's honest reaction to viral Nick Sirianni scuffle

There was a little scuffle between Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni and Washington Commanders tight end Zach Ertz last Sunday.

Zach Ertz says he has no issues with Nick Sirianni

According to ESPN's Tim McManus, Sirianni didn't like how hard Ertz's high-five was, which prompted him to mock Ertz for not doing much during the game. Ertz finished with one reception for 12 yards.

They were then jawing with one another before Eagles head of security Dom DiSandro intervened and separated the two.

A lot has been made about the altercation and Ertz wants everyone to know that the two of them are good.

"Nick and I had a great relationship when I was there, and we still have a great relationship. It's definitely been blown way out of proportion. We spoke. We're good," Ertz said, via McManus. "There's no ill feelings on my part and I don't think there are any ill feelings on his part. It's just something in the heat of the moment that probably got blown out of proportion and maybe a misunderstanding. But him and I are fine. Everyone knows how I feel about that place and that building, but at the same time, I love being here."

Ertz has helped the Commanders to a 10-5 record and be on the cusp of a playoff spot, compiling 55 receptions for 538 yards and four touchdowns.

This is his first season with the Commanders after spending the last two and a half with the Arizona Cardinals. He spent the first eight and a half seasons of his career with the Eagles.

Ertz has appeared in 166 games, compiling 764 receptions for 7,972 yards and 50 touchdowns.

The Commanders will try and clinch a playoff spot with a win over the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday Night Football before they end the season against the Dallas Cowboys.

Kickoff for Commanders-Falcons will be at 8:20 p.m. ET.
