Bill Belichick, former New England Patriots general manager/coach, spilled some major tea in his recent book ‘The Art of Winning’. One important nugget that NFL fans were quick to notice was that Belichick might actually have a player in mind when it comes to the GOAT in football between Tom Brady and Patrick Mahomes.
In the NFL, it has been Tom Brady vs. Patrick Mahomes for the title of GOAT for quite some time now. Belichick has never been clear as to which side he is leaning to in the past, but in his book he seems to be pretty clear as to which player he is choosing as his GOAT. While he did not directly name a player, Belichick wrote that one day, Andy Reid, head coach of the Kansas City Chiefs, will mention in his own book that he coached the greatest footballer of all time.
“Brady and Patrick Mahomes are both really good. Controversial, I know,” Bill Belichick wrote in his book ‘The Art of Winning’.
Bill Belichick is one of the most well-known NFL coaches out there, having started as a special assistant with the Baltimore Colts back in 1975. His last gig in the NFL was with the New England Patriots as both coach and general manager. Currently, Belichick is waiting for his first day on the job as a college football coach for the North Carolina Tar Heels.

Bill Belichick Does Not Credit Tom Brady Enough According To Leaked Email
On another note, Bill Belichick recently had a personal email leaked by his girlfriend, Jordon Hudson. While the email leaking itself was brutal for Belichick, the contents of the email showed the former New England Patriots head coach’s actual perception of the legendary Tom Brady, whom he coached and mentored.

In the email, Belichick talks about his numerous contributions to the New England Patriots team. However, he hardly mentions Tom Brady in the email, seemingly belittling the quarterback’s successes with the team.

Bill Belichick is also often blamed for Tom Brady’s departure from the team, causing him to join the Tampa Bay Buccaneers later. In an interview a while after him retiring from the game, Brady stated that differences in opinion between him and the renowned coach actually caused him to leave the Patriots after playing for them from 2000 to 2019. With the Patriots, Belichick managed to win six Super Bowl rings.
