Cowboys BREAKING As Dallas Drafts 'Classy Bully' from Alabama

With the retirement of legendary offensive guard Zack Martin, the Dallas Cowboys select Alabama guard Tyler Booker with the No. 12 pick in the NFL Draft.

Not a wide receiver. Not a running back. Not a trade.

But still a quality pick to fit Brian Schottenheimer's philosophy of physicality.

With the No. 12 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, the Dallas Cowboys have selected Alabama offensive guard Tyler Booker.

At 6-4, 324 pounds, Booker is as physically dominant a prospect as there is in the class.

He has a terrific rep as a 'Bama locker-room leadership legend, with our Mike Fisher calling him a 'classy bully.''

He joins a rich history of Cowboys' offensive line selections.

With the retirement of legendary offensive guard Zack Martin, Jerry Jones' Cowboys have officially began in a new era in the trenches.

At Tuesday's pre-draft press conference inside The Star, Jones spoke quite a bit about his team's offensive line:

From Jerry this week: "One thing Schotty did: he did it right. I said boy we want some attention to that offensive line and he gets his coordinator that's one heck of an expert there. Then he gets one of the best offensive guys. I can't tell you how much I appreciate that.

"One of the things we've started the meetings off with is ... can you put that kind of resources into your offensive line and can we get up there playing around the rim so that we can get one of these things with that offensive line."

And that's exactly what happened.

With top targets Ashton Jeanty and Tetairoa McMillan off the board at 12, the Cowboys stay put, stick to the mentality that Schotty has preached all offseason, and sure up the offensive line with arguably the best guard in the Draft.

Also from Jerry this week: "We've had some success with loading it up with top picks on the offensive line."

They've done it again.
