Cowboys Dak Prescott and Micah Parsons Speak Out On Free Agency (Non-) Moves

The Cowboys' top two leaders, one on offense, one on defense, are speaking out about the so-far NFL free agency moves.

FRISCO - The Dallas Cowboys opened up NFL free agency by losing two important helpers on their defense ... both of them projected as possible starters for the 2025 edition of the club.

But now, both of them are gone.

The Cowboys under owners Jerry and Stephen Jones have vowed to be "selectively aggressive'' when it comes to NFL free agency ... but critics think that Dallas has been a bit too "selective'' and not at all "aggressive'' when it comes to free agent defensive back Jourdan Lewis being allowed to leave for the Jacksonville Jaguars and when it comes to free agent Chauncey Golston being allowed to leave for the New York Giants.

One source here inside The Star said the club is "stunned'' by Lewis getting $30 million for three years to depart ... and we bet Cowboys management is left a bit flat-footed by Golston getting a three-year deal worth $19.5 million to join arch-rival New York.

And now the team's top two leaders, one on offense, one on defense, are speaking out about the moves.

What does Dak Prescott think of Lewis' deal?

"Dog!,'' Micah wrote on X. "Earned for sure! Congrats family def gonna missed!''

What does Micah Parsons think of Lewis' deal?

"The Most Deserved," Prescott wrote.

Oh, and Micah - who is awaiting his own new contract that due in part to Dallas' lack of proactivity will now surely cost the Cowboys at least $40 million per year - also has a fresh take on Chauncey's departure.

 He simply wrote, "dam(n).''

And Micah isn't done quite yet. He is not only using social media to talk Cowboys ... he's also watching the competition.

Golston going to the Giants? That can have NFC East impact.

But the Washington Commanders, last season's conference runners-up, taking Dallas' empty "all-in" mantra from 2024 to heart in 2025?

That's got Parsons' attention.

The Cowboys' longtime division rival orchestrated a blockbuster trade to land receiver Deebo Samuel last week. And now Washington has traded for offensive tackle Laremy Tunsil from the Houston Texans.

This latest move just so happens to feature another position that is in-need for the Cowboys, adding to the growing frustration in Dallas' activity (or lack thereof) this free agency.

Micah's reaction via X? "WTF.''

This reaction is one of many expressed by Cowboys players the last few hours. ... as it expands from what Dallas is doing to what Dallas' competition is doing.
