James Cook's Pro Bowl brother believes his younger sibling deserves more credit in Buffalo's offense.
Do the Buffalo Bills go as Josh Allen goes? Maybe. Sunday's 35-10 blowout victory over the San Francisco 49ers is evidence that there can be more to it than that.
It wasn't just Buffalo stifling one of the best offenses in football, or Allen's three-touchdown day. In the case of the Bills' offense, Sunday's win came in part on the power of their ground game. ...
Specifically the big-play ability of James Cook.
Cook ran for 107 yards on 14 carries and a 65-yard touchdown that became the longest score of his career. The former Georgia star recorded a staggering near eight yards per play while adding a 13 reception to his total.
So good was Cook's performance on Sunday, that his older brother Dalvin - now of the Dallas Cowboys - made his thoughts clear about his younger brother's future in Buffalo.
"Pay the man 4," Cook tweeted.
Dalvin in his prime with the Minnesota Vikings was a four-time Pro Bowler and one of the most complete backs in the game. What his younger brother has done since being a member of the Bills offense echoes some of that success.
With the youngest Cook entering free agency following the 2025 season, Buffalo will be able to negotiate with the star running back as early as this offseason.
While being on pace for 1,000 yards rushing for the second straight year, there's reason for Buffalo to want to lock up their young star offensively moving forward.
In the opinion of his older brother, it's only a matter of time before that should happen.
