The Dallas Cowboys' draft plans aren't exactly known, but most have a general feel for where the franchise is going based on conversations with people in the building, scouts, and anyone else you can think of.
Dallas's biggest need right now, I think, is receiver , with CeeDee Lamb being the only legitimate target for Dak Prescott. Running back is another need, with Miles Sanders and Javonte Williams at the top of the depth chart.
But we have been hearing increased chatter about Dallas looking at the offensive line, with Todd McShay having the Cowboys take Donovan Jackson in the second round.
Now, on a pre-draft conference call, NFL Network's Daniel Jeremiah gave his thoughts on what the Cowboys might do.
“I think they need to upgrade that receiver room for sure," Jeremiah said. "The expectation, though, in talking to folks around the league in regards to the Cowboys is they've done a lot of work on the interior offensive linemen."
Does that mean the Cowboys are taking Zack Martin's replacement? No.
But there is increasing momentum for the Cowboys to take a lineman at No. 12, however where that would leave the receiver room is a scary thought.
Would there be many legitimate No. 2 receivers left in the second round when Dallas picks at No. 44? Maybe Luther Burden III, if Dallas is lucky, or Jayden Higgins, but the Cowboys would be asking a lot from the football gods.
Yes, the offensive line on the right side might be a little unknown with Brock Hoffman and T.J. Bass, but at the receiver position, it is Lamb or bust.
So while offensive line is an option, receiver surely takes precedence here.
