The Dallas Cowboys have a host of needs entering the offseason, and some can be fixed in free agency and others in the draft.

With Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty gaining all the buzz with his love of the Cowboys, plus Brian Schottenheimer's want to run the football, that pick seems logical if he's available at No. 12.

But we have some mock drafts that seem to pick the right player or are in the wheelhouse, and then we have others who make us scratch our heads.

CBS Sports' Tom Fornelli doesn't have Dallas taking Jeanty in the first round in his mock draft. Instead, the Cowboys go for a right tackle in Missouri's Armand Membou.

"Membou has a lot of the physical traits teams love at the tackle position, and he's an impressive athlete for a player his size," Fornelli writes. "I don't think he steps in as a rookie and excels, but there's the potential for a franchise left tackle and perennial Pro Bowler in there."

The pick of Membou, who was a perennial right tackle for Missouri, could signal the end of Terence Steele in Dallas.

If Steele is moved on (pre-June 1 cut would save $13.5 million, post-June would have $14 million in cap savings per Over The Cap), then the Cowboys offensive line would have both tackle positions sorted for the foreseeable future with Tyler Guyton and Membou locked in.

Many want Jeanty to give the offense a boost, but Steele hasn't been the same since his ACL injury in 2022, and drafting Membou would give Dak Prescott a nasty right tackle who does a good job of keeping pass rushers off his quarterback.
