Dallas falls to 3-7 on the season, with five straight losses and zero wins at home as part of the package.

But also tucked into the loss of the same was the loss of an assortment of players to injury ... maybe the most gruesome of which was nasty shoulder injury that safety Markquese Bell is now dealing with.

While covering a kickoff in the second quarter and tracking Texans returner Dameon Pierce, Bell plunged into a pile and made an attempt at a tackle, causing his shouler and arm to bend in an awkward direction.

Medical personnel eventually got to Bell as he was escorted off the field and back into the locker room - with trainer Jim Maurer delicately holding Bell's arm and shoulder upright and in place.

There is speculation that Bell sustained a shoulder dislocation that could require season-ending surgery.

On Tuesday here inside The Star, the coordinators visited with the media and Dallas special-teams coach John "Bones'' Fassel was called upon to discussed Bell's injury ... and Fassel grew understandably emotional.

"I mean, man,'' said Fassel, "he got hurt doing what he does best, just flying in there, diving. He's going to be OK ... Damn, I'm hurting for him because he was on a mission. He was as good as we've had in a while."

Fassel added that Bell has a bright "future ... he's a tough-(expletive) kid,'' the coach said.
