Dallas Cowboys legend Michael Irvin, who turned 59 on Wednesday, is enjoying time on the beach this NFL offseason - but he still can't escape the limelight.
The Hall of Fame receiver is known for his flamboyant personality that dates back to his time starring for "America's Team". It has also transitioned nicely into television as an analyst since then.
Wherever he is, "The Playmaker" will always make headlines. The most recent comes while on vacation this week in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Irvin shared a video on social media to ring in his birthday, fitted in gold sequined shorts ... and no shirt, of course.
The video has gone viral with thousands of fans admiring his physique at his age.
Rightfully so.
"The thousands of people that have texted me and reached out on social media. All the fans, all my friends saying happy birthday. Thank you so much," Irvin said after his video blew up.
"There's no way I could hit everybody back, but I want y'all to know that you really do matter."
The Super Bowl champion is traveling via a cruise, highlighting it as a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
"It was on my bucket list," Irvin said. "Before I turned 60, to experience Carnival. So I'm here, when I'm turning 59."
Irvin added that he would repay all his recognition with a party at his restaurant, Playmakers 88, when he returns from vacation.
Irvin headlined the "Triplets" with quarterback Troy Aikman and running back Emmitt Smith, winning 3 Super Bowls in the '90s with the Cowboys.
He was a three-time All-Pro who totaled 1,000 yards in seven of the 12 years he spent in Dallas.
Through it all, Irvin has always brought main-character enthusiasm ... and it's good see his personality hasn't lost a step.
His physique hasn't either.
