Cowboys' Prolific Micah Parsons Now Analyzing College Prospects

Dallas Cowboys' defensive star Micah Parsons comments on seemingly everything, including otherwise obscure NFL Draft prospects.

FRISCO - If only Micah Parsons was paid by the syllable instead of the sack.

While the Cowboys' star linebacker begins negotiations on a contract extension that will keep him in Dallas for the foreseeable future, he has his eyes, ears and mouth open to, well, everything around him. Parsons is a menacing presence on the field and one of the best defensive players in the NFL, but he will never be confused with the strong, silent type.

Already this offseason, Micah has:

*Predicted - in front of Washington Commanders' star quarterback Jayden Daniels - that the Cowboys would "win the NFC" in 2025.

*Claimed he is a Cowboys "lifer."

*Called owner Jerry Jones his "dawg."

*Openly recruited disgruntled Cleveland Browns pass-rusher Myles Garrett to join the Cowboys.

*Threatened to join the Kansas City Chiefs if he doesn't win a Super Bowl with the Cowboys by age 30.

As if that weren't enough to seemingly dilute Parsons into just another football fanboy, now he's scouting college prospects and even giving motivational pep talks.

Oregon's Tez Johnson led the Ducks in catches, receiving yards and touchdowns last season despite missing two games with a shoulder injury. He was named MVP of the Big Ten Championship Game after he caught 11 passes for 181 yards and a touchdown in Oregon's 45-37 win over Penn State.

But at last week's Scouting Combine he disappointed NFL observers by running the 40-yard dash in 4.51 seconds, 29th out of 39 receivers. He also weighed only 154 pounds, lightest of any receiver in Indianapolis.

Some NFL Draft analysts said Johnson was among the Combine's biggest "losers."

Out of the shadows, here comes Micah.

"Don't get caught get up on numbers!! Man plays like he's run a 4.3 tape will teach you that!!" Parsons said on his social media.

Parsons is almost impossible to block. Turns out he's even more difficult to mute.
