Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott has a shiny new weapon in George Pickens, who many think can elevate the offense to new heights.
With CeeDee Lamb the No. 1 weapon and Pickens close behind, Dallas' passing game with Prescott back healthy has the potential to be rather explosive.
But before it can get to that stage, chemistry must be built with Prescott and Pickens so each knows what the other is thinking, and things have already gotten off to a good start at OTAs and minicamp.
And they continued with a recent trip away to Georgia, something that Dak and his skill-position players do every year to build chemistry and comradery.
But as far as how long Prescott expects it to be before he and George are on the same page?
"Not long," Prescott said at his annual youth camp on Southlake. "Having dealt with trades before, whether it's been Amari Cooper, Brandin Cooks, I mean, go turn on that guy's tape, he's getting separation. Even when he's not getting the ball at times, and hell, when he doesn't have separation, he's still making the catches, it's not going to be hard. For me, it's about getting that ball near that guy and letting him go be George Pickens."
So, starting with training camp later this month, the plan is simple for Dak in 2025 — just throw the ball in George's vicinity and let him make plays.
With Lamb also on the field, Pickens is expected to see his fair share of advantageous matchups, something he didn't see in Pittsburgh being the No. 1 weapon for three years.
So naturally, an uptick in production for Pickens is expected in Brian Schottenheimer's offense, and given how well the relationship has developed with Prescott, maybe we can expect fireworks early in the season.
And with the Philadelphia Eagles up first, we might see the pair hit the ground running.
