Cowboys rookie WR Ryan Flournoy going to be 'name to remember' in 2024

If you're a fantasy football fan looking for an underrated wide receiver to add to your roster, Dallas Cowboys rookie Ryan Flournoy is your guy.

At least, Adam Rank of NFL Network thinks so.

Rank believes the 2024 sixth-round pick out of Missouri State is going to be a 'name to remember' this fall.

"The sixth-round pick out of Southeast Missouri State is pretty raw, but he's also highly athletic and looked good at the Senior Bowl. Dallas needs some receiver help to go along with CeeDee Lamb and Brandin Cooks. (Let's be honest: It's not like the Cowboys are going to run the ball a lot.) I think Flournoy is going to send people scrambling to the waiver wire to scoop him up when he becomes the third receiver in Dallas," - Adam Rank

Flournoy, a 6-foot-1, 202-pound pass-catcher, has already been making waves this offseason through OTAs and minicamp,

It's hard for any rookie wideout, especially a late-round pick, to make the initial 53-man roster, but the Cowboys have an opening up for grabs behind CeeDee Lamb and Brandin Cooks, which gives Flournoy better odds.

And like Rank said, the Cowboys might not want to take a chance on letting him get away if they think another team might poach him from the waivers.

In his final two years at the college level with Southeast Missouri State, Flournoy totaled 1,823 yards and 13 touchdowns, while averaging 15.4 yards per catch.

Widely labeled a "freak athlete, he shined during the pre-NFL draft process when he ran a 4.4 40-yard dash and benched 225 pounds 19 times, showing off his speed and strength.

The Cowboys have some time before we see them back on the field together for July training camp, but Flournoy will be a name that fans will want to keep tabs on.
