The Dallas Cowboys' draft needs for most are clear in the first two rounds, considering the glaring holes at receiver and running back.
The consensus is a receiver at No. 12 and then, in a stacked running back class, a starting back in either the second or third round to lead Brian Schottenheimer's run game in 2025.
But over the past week, we have heard rumors that maybe another offensive lineman could be taken at No. 12 to fill Zack Martin's role, with Brock Hoffman and T.J. Bass showing promise, but so far, nothing more than that.
And now we have draft guru Todd McShay, who in his latest mock draft, has the Cowboys taking Tetairoa McMillan in round one, but then Ohio State's Donovan Jackson in round two.
"At 44, I'm going to take Donovan Jackson," McShay says. "Elite, elite run blocker and just a good all-around football player, gives you some position flexibility, which they love in Dallas."
One of the most athletic linemen in the class, Jackson would provide some serious grunt in the run game, which Schottenheimer wants to be the offense's first port of call in 2025.
Seen as a guard, given Dallas' wobbles at right tackle with Terence Steele, Jackson's position flex would benefit the Cowboys should form dip or injury strike.
Considering the depth of the running back class, the Cowboys, if they did go McShay's way, could still find value in the later rounds with someone like Cam Skattebo to be part of the run game.
But not finding a back in Round 2? That would be shocking to many.
While most think receiver and running back are the two urgent needs, don't discount an offensive lineman, either.
