Cowboys Sign Another Former Eagles Player In Free Agency

The Dallas Cowboys have been active in free agency after last year's lackluster season, and they've managed to poach another player who spent time with one of their most hated division rivals.

Cowboys Sign Another Former Eagles Player In Free Agency

The Cowboys made headlines earlier this week when they signed one former Eagle in running back Miles Sanders, and they've just reached a deal with another ex-Eagle.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter , the Cowboys are signing former Eagles wide receiver Parris Campbell to a one-year deal.

Campbell, a former second-round pick out of Ohio State, spent last season with Philadelphia. He caught six passes for 30 yards while appearing in five games during the regular season, and he also appeared in all three of the Eagles' playoff games this year.

The Cowboys are looking to take more than players from the Eagles, as they're looking to recapture the NFC East division crown. Dallas won the division in 2023 after the Eagles collapsed near the end of the season, and injuries were ultimately the Cowboys' downfall in 2024.

The Eagles did more than win the NFC East last season, as they went all the way back to the Super Bowl for a rematch with the Kansas City Chiefs. This time, the Eagles were able to get the upper hand in a dominant win, ending Kansas City's bid for the first-ever Super Bowl three-peat in NFL history.

The Eagles were able to lock down two key players in Saquon Barkley and Zack Baun this offseason, but they lost key contributors as well.

Defensive lineman Milton Williams signed a big deal with the New England Patriots, Josh Sweat is heading to the Arizona Cardinals, Mekhi Becton is on his way to the Los Angeles Chargers and both Darius Slay and Kenneth Gainwell are going to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

It's difficult to win the Super Bowl once, let alone two years in a row. The Eagles will still have many key contributors like Barkley and quarterback Jalen Hurts, but we'll see how the respond to losing key players - especially on defense.

As for Dallas, they'll look to get back on track after injuries forced them out of division and playoff contention last season.
