Dak Prescott Feeding Off Cowboys 'Passion' Under New Coach Brian Schottenheimer

Dallas Cowboys Dak Prescott knows the energy and passion Brian Schottenheimer coaches with, and he's ready to get down to business in 2025.

The Dallas Cowboys' coaching staff under Brian Schottenheimer is all pulling in the same direction.

With a new-look staff on both sides of the ball, things will be done a little differently under Schotty. Different doesn't mean bad; it just means different, and that change has been welcomed.

Schottenheimer has been in the building for the past two seasons, and Dak Prescott has gotten to know him quite well, and now that Brian is in the big chair, he is going to have his own way of doing things.

One thing he's known for is his passion and love for the game. This passion and love permeate through his staff as well, and Dak knows the locker room will feed off it.

“I mean, you all have a common goal when that energy and when that passion's there, that's the accountability that holds that even stronger,” Prescott said. “In the sense now you're playing for your coach even a little bit more, we felt it, I felt it for years honestly, and that's a part of why Schotty is the man that he is.

"He can't turn that off, he's going to bring the energy, he's going to bring the passion, he's a coach's son, so this game has given him so many opportunities and he's not going to cheat it and I'm excited, just for the way that he approaches the game and the way that he's going to push everybody around him. even a couple of the assistants that I've already met you can feel it.”

It has been a solid start to life as Dallas head coach for Schottenheimer, and while he, along with his staff, will be judged on the field when the season kicks off, right now we are hearing all the right things coming out of the building.

There appears to be a different way of doing things with Schottenheimer and his entire staff flying out to Indianapolis for the scouting combine, plus Jerry Jones not doing his annual "On The Bus" talk with local reporters, with his time tied up talking to player agents.

But the big driving force for the Cowboys is the passion and energy that Schottenheimer and his staff will bring in 2025, and with that flowing through the locker room, who knows what that could do for the team?

There's a different vibe around Dallas right now, and while it hasn't translated to anything substantial yet, it feels like the cultural foundation Schottenheimer is building will give the Cowboys a fighting chance at redemption in 2025.
