Fans of The Walking Dead have longed for the return of McBride to the franchise. She took time off after starring in the main series since 2010 and made a brief return in season 1 of Daryl Dixon. The second season will see a significant focus on Carol in the fifth spinoff of The Walking Dead.

The teasers for the new season showcase Carol, who is back in action as she searches for her best friend. Fans knew Carol wouldn't stand idly by when Daryl never arrived back at the Commonwealth in a week, as he stated in their radio call during the fifth episode of season 1. The teasers show she headed out in search of him and that she'll stop at nothing to find him.
