In a perfect world, the Dodgers wouldn't have to face any of the same adversities they dealt with a campaign ago, but that isn't probable.

Even if there are a few injuries, that's part of the game.

And according to Dave Roberts, that's already something the Dodgers are dealing with. Robert's revealed on Friday that catcher Will Smith is dealing with an ankle injury and is "a little behind."

Will Smith is dealing with an ankle issue and "a little behind," Dave Roberts said. He added that Smith has been running on an Alter-G treadmill.

As long as Smith is ready for opening day, or at worst, a few weeks later, this shouldn't be too big of an issue for the Dodgers.

Of course, they want their All-Star catcher to be ready to go on opening day, as he's one of the better players at his position in Major League Baseball, but it isn't the end all be all early in the campaign.

Over the past few years, Smith has done nothing but swing the bat at an excellent level and play above-average defense.

He's hit at least 20 home runs in three of the past four seasons and has been a big part of Dodgers' success in the post and regular season.
