The first season of Dead City was filmed in New Jersey and New York, but the upcoming season changed filming to Lowell, Massachusetts. Fans have flocked to the area to get a glimpse of the actors and lend their support for the show. Recently, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who portrays Negan in The Walking Dead universe, posted a video on Twitter/X thanking everyone who has supported them, day and night for weeks.

Dead City's second season will see the return of Lauren Cohan as Maggie and Morgan as Negan. The returning cast includes Lisa Emery as The Dama and Željko Ivanek as The Croat, two characters who are villains in the storyline. Gaius Charles, who portrays Perlie Armstrong, a marshal for the New Babylon Federation. Mahina Napoleon will return as Ginny, a young girl whose family was killed and taken in by Negan. Logan Kim, who portrays Maggie's son Hershel will also return, and the actor has teased a darker story for the young man.

FX's Sons of Anarchy actor Kim Coates has been added to the cast for the new season. He will portray Bruegel, the leader of a fierce gang in New York who is intelligent and manipulative. Fans are excited to see this outstanding addition to the cast and can't wait to see Coates in this role.

Season 2 is reported to consist of eight episodes, two more than the debut season. This is exciting as it will allow showrunners to flesh out the stories, many of which were set up in the season 1 finale.

The first season of Dead City included a flashback scene that featured a surprise cameo from Steven Ogg, who portrayed Simon in The Walking Dead. The scene fleshed out the Croat's story during the days when Negan ran the Sanctuary, home of his Saviors. Fans are eager to see if any familiar faces will appear in the second season.
