Aaron Phypers, husband of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum/Denise Richards & Her Wild Things star Denise Richards, is pushing back after a debt collector tried to tap into her income. The financial drama involves Aaron having a big unpaid loan — and now Denise’s paychecks could be at risk.
Denise Richards’ money could be seized to pay husband Aaron Phypers’ debt

According to In Touch, Aaron asked a judge to block Creditors Adjustment Bureau, Inc. from taking Denise’s wages and assets to cover his mountain of debt.
Back in 2019, Aaron and his (alleged quackery) wellness business, Quantum Epigenetics Consulting LLC, borrowed $190,000. There was also $11,000 in interest. When he failed to repay the loan, the debt collector sued him. Aaron didn’t contest the lawsuit and admitted the pandemic wrecked his business. He says that’s why he couldn’t pay.
Afterwards, he settled the case by agreeing to make five-figure monthly payments starting in late 2023. However, the debt collector says he stopped paying in February 2024 after making just $40,000. Consequently, a judge approved their request to issue a $228,000 judgment against him.
Now, the creditor wants to collect from Denise. They argue, “Denise Richards currently is, and at the time the debt was incurred was, the spouse of Defendant … and is responsible for the community property debts.”
They asked the court for permission to seize her (already allegedly concerning) earnings and assets. Aaron’s lawyer pushed back, calling the request unfair and legally unsupported.
He said the debt collector hasn’t proven Aaron and Denise are even legally married. In fact, the only proof they submitted was a news article. He called that “inadmissible hearsay and not competent evidence.”
Aaron’s lawyer also pointed out that marriage doesn’t automatically make a spouse’s income fair game. He explained that couples can sign agreements to keep their finances separate — and the creditor hasn’t shown that Denise’s money counts as shared property.
Denise isn’t named in the lawsuit and hasn’t been accused of any wrongdoing.
So far, the court hasn’t made a ruling.
Meanwhile, Aaron faces a separate fraud lawsuit from a man who says Aaron promised to refund $126,000 for failed stem cell treatments his late wife tried for cancer. Aaron denies that claim and says someone else made the refund promise.
