This offseason is probably going to be a rollercoaster for Derek Carr. As of now, he remains on the New Orleans Saints roster. that could change if they hire Kellen Moore as their new head coach.
As an offensive mind, Moore may look to bring in his own option at quarterback, or give Spencer Rattler a shot as the starter for an entire offseason and training camp. If that's the case, New Orleans would move on from Carr via release or trade.
Carr has probably heard those discussions around social media regarding the uncertainty at QB going forward for the Saints. He posted a highlight reel of his own plays on Instagram recently.

Carr's post was met with some fans who appreciated his performances while healthy this past season.
Others basically mocked him, as they felt he wanted to post a bit of a "confidence boost" during the Kellen Moore news swirl. The timing was a bit peculiar for the post.

Moore is currently the offensive coordinator for the Philadelphia Eagles. His team is preparing for the upcoming Super Bowl, practicing in New Orleans this week.
The Saints cannot contact him again or negotiate a deal to hire him until after the game concludes. Regardless, according to Adam Schefter and other notable reports, Moore is expected to be the next head coach for the Saints.

Accordingly, the future is murky for the veteran QB in New Orleans. We will see what the team chooses to do if they in fact hire the Eagles OC.
