The Detroit Lions have officially announced their 2025-26 NFL schedule, marking the beginning of a crucial season for the franchise. With an exciting mix of divisional showdowns and high-stakes non-conference games, the Lions will be tested as they push for a playoff berth and a potential NFC North title.

The Lions’ season kicks off on September 7, when they travel to Green Bay for a 4:25 PM ET matchup on CBS. This opening game will set the tone for the season as they face their long-time divisional rivals. The following week, September 14, the Lions will host the Chicago Bears at 1:00 PM ET on FOX, an important early-season game that could help establish their dominance in the NFC North.

September continues with a series of tough tests, starting with a road game at Baltimore on September 22 at 8:15 PM ET (ABC/ESPN), followed by a home matchup against Cleveland on September 28 at 1:00 PM ET on FOX. The Lions will also visit Cincinnati on October 5, where they face a tough Bengals team in a 4:25 PM ET game.

October brings more challenges, with a road trip to Kansas City on October 12 at 8:20 PM ET on NBC, followed by a Tampa Bay matchup on October 20 at 7:00 PM ET on ABC/ESPN. These games will be key for Detroit as they face some of the toughest teams in the NFL.

The Lions’ November schedule sees them take on Minnesota on November 2 at 1:00 PM ET (FOX), before a road trip to Washington on November 9 and a visit to Philadelphia on November 16. With crucial NFC games ahead, the Lions will need to stay competitive to position themselves for a playoff run.

The second half of the season includes key matchups against NY Giants on November 23, a Thanksgiving day clash with the Green Bay Packers on November 27, and a road trip to Dallas on December 4. A home game against LA Rams on December 14 and a visit to Pittsburgh on December 21 will also prove critical as the Lions look to stay in contention.

In December, the Lions finish the season with two divisional matchups, including a Minnesota game on December 25 and a flex game against the Chicago Bears at TBD. These games could have significant playoff implications.

With a challenging slate that includes difficult divisional games and formidable opponents, the Lions will need to perform at their highest level to make a run at the playoffs and further establish themselves as one of the top teams in the NFC North. This season promises to be an exciting one, filled with drama, high stakes, and plenty of action for the Lions and their fans.
