Do you think the Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson boxing match will be classified as a pro fight or an exhibition?

I sure as hell hope it will be considered an exhibition.

Jake Paul is a phenomenon. I have full respect for what he’s done. He’s trained hard and he’s doing great and unexpected things in the boxing world. And he’s certainly figured out a great way to make himself exceedingly rich.

But despite his abilities, calling him a pro boxer is a bit embarrassing to the concept. His existence in the boxing world is exhibition. We’re there for the spectacle, not for prime boxing.

Now, the chance exists that Mike Tyson still has it, and can knock Jake Paul into the next timezone.

However, we can’t ignore the fact that Mike Tyson is 58. When you put a young, hungry fighter into a ring with someone who is inches away from 60, you are playing with fire. It’s kind of gross, if you think about it. He is decades past his prime and is suffering from physically ailments galore. This could cause him damage that will impair him living out the rest of his life happily.

It really shouldn’t happen. I hope Tyson walks away without a scratch. And with an insane amount of money in his bank account.
