Dodgers Notes: LA Makes Roster Move, Linked to Alex Bregman, Roki Sasaki Injury Update
The Los Angeles Dodgers lost, 5-2, to the New York Mets on Saturday. L.A. fell to 32-20 on the year as the series evened out.
Ahead of the defeat, the Dodgers called up a familiar pitcher who had an electric rookie season. Bobby Miller has had a complicated road back to the majors this season, but he looks to make the most of his second call-up of the year.
Additionally, the Dodgers are linked to an All-Star slugger who was previously a member of perhaps the most controversial World Series winner in recent memory. Alex Bregman’s history with the Houston Astros may have to be overlooked due to his undeniable bat and being ranked eighth in OAA among third basemen since 2022, and potentially given an opportunity to redeem himself in the eyes of Dodgers fans.
Finally, there is a new insight on Roki Sasaki’s injury from pitching coach Mark Prior. He thinks that the phenom may have been struggling on the mound due to his shoulder impingement and gives reason to believe Sasaki will be a more poised pitcher upon his return.
