The Miami Dolphins practice squad is up to 13 players after Thursday’s five additions.

The Miami Dolphins announced four additions to the practice squad on Thursday afternoon. Former New York Jets quarterback Tim Boyle is on board as Miami’s No. 3 quarterback and wide receiver Robbie Chosen is back in South Florida after a cup of coffee with the San Francisco 49ers.
The practice squad now stands at 13 players after adding wide receiver Dee Eskridge and defensive tackle Naquan Jones. Meanwhile, the team released former fourth-round pick Anthony McFarland Jr.
Boyle, 29, has started five games in his five-year career, including two last season for the New York Jets. He completed 48 of 77 passes for 360 yards, one touchdown, and a 99-yard pick-six by Jevon Holland.
Chosen, 31, signed with the 49ers on Aug. 12 but was released two weeks later. He returns to Miami after recording four catches for 126 yards and a touchdown in nine games last season.
Eskridge, 27, a former second-round pick of the Seattle Seahawks, has played in 24 games over the past three seasons. He has 17 catches for 122 yards and a touchdown and averages 9.3 yards on eight career rushes. He also returned 17 kickoffs for Seattle.
Jones, 26, is entering his fourth season after time with the Tennessee Titans and Arizona Cardinals. He’s appeared in 36 games, logging 62 tackles and 3.5 sacks.
With 13 players on the practice squad, Miami can still add four more due to its participation in the league’s International Pathway Program (Byron Matos).
