This will be Jackson Carman’s second start for the Miami Dolphins.
Former New England Patriots and Washington Commanders long-snapper Tucker Addington will make his second start for the Miami Dolphins on Sunday. The Dolphins announced that Addington and tackle Jackson Carman, a 2021 second-round pick by the Cincinnati Bengals, will be called up from the practice squad to play against the Las Vegas Raiders.
Addington was Miami’s starter in Week 10 against the Los Angeles Rams and is the team’s third long snapper of the season after starter Blake Ferguson was placed on the reserve/non-football illness list last month.
Former Pro Bowler Matt Overton had been elevated from Miami’s practice squad and started three games, the maximum number of times a player can be called up from the practice squad before requiring a full-time spot on the active roster. Dolphins coaches have said they expect Ferguson back this season.
Carman was Cincinnati's backup right tackle last season but also has experience at guard. He’ll likely back up Kendall Lamm — and if needed, Patrick Paul — at right tackle after starter Austin Jackson was placed on season-ending injured reserve with a knee injury.
