Draft expert says this Eagles UDFA might shock everyone at camp

While it’s unclear what the 2025 Draft class will be, analysts have been impressed with the 10-player class the Philadelphia Eagles have put together. Headlined by linebacker Jihaad Campbell, everyone was left saying Howie Roseman did it again. However, it’s not just the drafted newcomers in Philly that have everyone excited.

The Eagles signed several undrafted free agents, and there’s a belief that at least one of those players will make a name for themselves this offseason. Draft analyst Ryan Fowler shared a list of several undrafted free agents who should push to make their respective team’s 53-man roster. On the list was Eagles rookie Hollin Pierce.

Hollin Pierce named as an undrafted player that could make Eagles roster

Pierce is an offensive tackle who played five years at Rutgers. At 6-foot-8, 341 pounds, with 36-inch arms, Pierce has impressive size for the tackle position. Additionally, he had a round five projection entering the draft, so he’s certainly a good pick up for an Eagles team with a strong offensive line culture.

He started for four years in college, so he has plenty of experience. His strengths are moving people in the run game, but he struggles with edge defenders that utilize speed and quickness. However, that can certainly be improved, especially in Philadelphia. Pierce won’t be thrown into the starting lineup, giving him the opportunity to sit and learn from experienced veterans and a good coaching staff.

If he can showcase the positives of his game, while improving the weaknesses throughout camp, he should be able to stick around on the Eagles for the regular season. That would only help the rich get richer, as Philly already has a dominant run-blocking line that led them to the Super Bowl. Hollin Pierce, an undrafted player, emerging as another valuable piece for the unit would just keep the train rolling.
