The Philadelphia Eagles will play their final preseason game on Saturday against the Minnesota Vikings.

Eagles' All-Pro headlines 3 potential surprise cuts if they don’t play well against Vikings

That means rookies and players on the roster bubble have one more chance to prove themselves before final cutdown day on Tuesday, August 27.

Until then, here are three surprising, or not so surprising, players that are going to be cut if they don't perform well vs. Minnesota.

DB James Bradberry

All eyes have been on James Bradberry since before the offseason started after his regression in 2023.

The Eagles have had him play in both preseason games so far and it looks like he's on track to play in Saturday's as well following a weak performance against the New England Patriots.

Philly has even tested him at the safety position to try and find him a home on the roster, but it hasn't seemed to have done them any good. If he doesn't perform perfectly against Minnesota wherever he lines up, it's hard to see the Eagles wasting a roster spot on him. It will still be weird to see him go even if everyone was expecting it.

WR Parris Campbell

There was a point in the offseason when Parris Campbell was up for the WR3 job, but that no longer appears to be the case.

Britain Covey is in line before him and so is giant rookie Johnny Wilson.

Oh, and the Eagles just traded for former first-round pick Jahan Dotson.

It also doesn't help that Campbell missed a lot of training camp with a groin injury. Saturday will be his last attempt to make a glowing impression for even a practice squad spot.

WR Ainias Smith

That brings us to rookie wide receiver Ainias Smith.

Smith had a great outing against the Patriots last week but he hasn't had the best camp overall. He also admitted that the NFL level is a lot different than college, though the rest of the Eagles rookies appear to be adjusting rather well.

The Eagles did select Smith in the fifth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, so it might be tough cutting a rookie that they spent draft capital on loose, especially following his successful two-point conversion play against New England.

Despite his rocky start, head Nick Sirianni has also fully supported him.

If he does something that cool again on Saturday, the Eagles won't move on from him so easily.
