Eagles can't stop looking at train wreck that is Cowboys' latest news

If the issues of the Dallas Cowboys couldn't get any worse, it just did. And the Philadelphia Eagles are all here for it.

Terry McLaurin Reportedly Requests Trade From Commanders Amid Contract Dispute

The Athletic's Dianna Russini reported that the relationship between the Cowboys and star edge rusher Micah Parsons is deteriorating to the point where he may either request a trade or sever ties with the franchise altogether. Parsons has been seeking a contract extension all offseason from the Cowboys, but no agreement has been made

Russini added that the Cowboys are refusing to call Parsons' agent to negotiate a contract, as Dallas is more known for negotiating new agreements with players. This tension has been growing for months, with Cowboys owner Jerry Jones refusing to call Parsons' agent.

The Eagles might end up owning the Cowboys for a long time

One again, Jones is going out of his way to ruin the Cowboys' franchise, and no one in Philly is complaining about it. This has been a constant issue with Jones holding off on playing his players until the last second, and they signing them for more money than they wanted (prime example: Dak Prescott).

It still feels like somehow the Cowboys are going to figure something out since Parsons is a once-in-a-generational pass rusher. He's been to the Pro Bowl in each of his four NFL seasons, been an AP All-Pro twice, was Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2021, and has had at least 12 sacks in the last four years.

The Eagles can't help but laugh at the disaster the Cowboys are facing, especially after the season Dallas had in 2024. Philly embarrassed the Cowboys with two wins by a combined score of 75-13. Dallas finished 7-10 on the year, and the Eagles coasted to a Super Bowl title, their second since 2018.

Jones will never be the type to acknowledge when he has made a mistake so that the problems will continue. It only means that the Eagles must focus on the Washington Commanders, who are facing their own issues with wide receiver Terry McLaurin requesting a trade.
