Eagles CB Darius Slay continues to miss practice before Week 9 vs Jaguars

Dallas Goedert (hamstring) and cornerback Darius Slay (groin) did not practice on Wednesday or Thursday.

Defensive tackle Jalen Carter (shoulder) returned to practice in full, while left guard Landon Dickerson (knee) was a limited participant on Thursday after bother were held out to start the week.

Meanwhile starting right guard Mekhi Becton (concussion) went from being limited to a full participant.

Below is the Eagles' injury report following Thursday's practice:

Eagles Week 9 Injury Report Observations

  • TE Dallas Goedert is expected to miss a few games with his hamstring injury so this is nothing new.
  • CB Darius Slay missing two practices this week is not a good sign. Isaiah Rodgers will be the one to step up in his place.
  • Mekhi Becton missed last week's win over the Cincinnati Bengals but it looks like he will be good to go this week.
  • Jalen Carter started last week on the injury report with the same injury be still played in Week 8 and it appears he'll be just fine for Sunday.
  • With Landon Dickerson out on Wednesday, Tyler Steen took snaps at left guard.
  • DT Byron Young and CB Eli Ricks are off of the injury report after being on it for two weeks.
  • TE Albert Okwuegbunam returned from injured reserve two weeks ago. The Eagles have one more week to activate him.
  • The Eagles released defensive tackle Siaki Ika from the practice squad and signed offensive lineman Braeden Daniels to take his place.
