The reigning Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles officially have their schedule for the 2025 NFL season, the season they plan to repeat as Super Bowl Champions. Their schedule certainly isn't easy, and there is one thing to take note of when looking at the schedule.
The Eagles will play eight home games this season and nine away games, but when looking at their home games, it should be noted that the reigning champs will not play a single back-to-back home game, meaning this team will constantly be on the road week after week, a grueling thing to do.
Fans are not happy about the fact that the Eagles won't have a single back-to-back home game because they believe it is a punishment for the team that is currently the best in the league. This may not be a punishment, but it is definitely going to be a tough feat to accomplish this season, constantly being on the road.
The Super Bowl Champs face a tough schedule in 2025
Coming off a Super Bowl championship certainly doesn't mean the Eagles are given the easiest schedule in the league; if anything, they could have one of the toughest. Now, in a division with a little more competition with the Washington Commanders bursting onto the scene and the Cowboys doing their best to get better this next season, two division games are certainly going to be tough against each rival.
The Eagles face nine 2024 playoff teams, which really means they will play a former playoff team 10 times, with having to play the Commanders twice. The Eagles will be tested in every single game this season as the champs always have a target on their back. Even though this team has lost some key players, the Eagles still have their biggest weapons loaded on this roster.
Jalen Hurts and Saquon Barkley are one of the best quarterback-running back duos and Devonta Smith and AJ Brown are one of the best wide receiver duos in the league, so this is team that deserves to be feared in every game, but this schedule is going to be tough and having to go on the road every single week at some point will make it even tougher.
