Eagles injured star AJ Brown set to play Week 16 vs Commanders

For the most part, the Philadelphia Eagles (12-2) are healthy heading into Sunday's Week 16 showdown against the Washington Commanders (9-5).

Eagles injured star AJ Brown set to play Week 16 vs Commanders

All 53 players practiced at some capacity on Thursday and Friday, including safety Sydney Brown, who left last Sunday's win early with a concussion.

Wide receiver A.J. Brown (knee/rest), defensive end Bryce Huff (wrist), and left guard Landon Dickerson (knee/rest) were the only players who were limited in practice for two straight days.

Brown, who has no idea where his injury came from, was very hesitant when asked by reporters "How are you?" on Friday. He paused before saying, "I'm playing," and said the knee injury wouldn't affect his playing.

Huff and wide receiver Britain Covey (neck) are the only Eagles ruled out vs. Washington while Sydney Brown (concussion) is questionable.

Eagles Week 16 Injury Report Observations

  • Nick Sirianni has discussed resting his key players when they need it in order to keep them ready to go for their playoff run, which is why several players kicked off the week sidelined.
  • Quarterback Jalen Hurts injured his non-throwing hand in Week 14's win over the Carolina Panthers but has not missed practice because of that.
  • The Eagles rested their offensive linemen but they still did some workouts on the side, such as tossing a medicine ball back and forth.
  • Left guard Landon Dickerson left last Sunday's game with a knee injury but he appears to be fine.
  • Safety Sydney Brown suffered a concussion at the start of Week 15's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
  • Even though he did not practice on Wednesday, Sydney Brown did work out some on the side by himself. He will need to pass through concussion protocol in order to play on Sunday.
  • Wide receiver DeVonta Smith's back issue doesn't appear to be too serious, but something to monitor.
  • Wide receiver Britain Covey has now missed the last three games with a neck injury, despite practicing during the week. Rookie Cooper DeJean has done a good job stepping in for him on punt return.
  • The Eagles have 19 days to activate Bryce Huff off Injured Reserve. He is still wearing a cast on his left hand.
