Eagles Pro-Bowler Sends Scary Warning to Rest of the NFL

The Philadelphia Eagles are on top of the world as they enter the 2025 NFL season. The last time they took the field, they picked up a dominant 40-22 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX. As a result, they are the team to beat until someone knocks them off their pedestal. Despite their lofty standing, though, Pro Bowl offensive lineman Landon Dickerson made it clear that the team isn’t content with winning just one championship.

Following a strong offseason of work, Philadelphia remains one of the strongest teams in the league, and it appears poised to make another Super Bowl run in 2025. However, they aren’t going to rest on what they accomplished last season, with Dickerson sending a strong message that will surely catch the attention of the rest of the league.

Landon Dickerson, Eagles Looking to Repeat as Champions in 2025

There were many reasons why the Eagles won the Super Bowl last season, but one of the more overlooked aspects of their success was their offensive line. Even after they lost perennial All-Pro center Jason Kelce to retirement, Philadelphia’s o-line remained arguably the best in the league. While they lost Mekhi Becton to the Los Angeles Chargers in free agency this offseason, this unit still looks deadly on paper entering 2025.

A big part of that is Dickerson, who has been Philadelphia’s starting left guard for the past four seasons after getting selected in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft. Over the past three years, he’s been a Pro Bowler each season, while also playing a big role in the Eagles’ championship run last year. In 2024, Dickerson earned a four-year, $84 million contract extension, making him a key part of Philly’s future.

If all goes according to plan, Dickerson will continue to help the Eagles feature one of the most devastating rushing attacks in the league, while also protecting Jalen Hurts under center. While everyone wants to talk about how last season ended for Philadelphia, that’s of no interest to Dickerson. In fact, in his eyes, this Eagles team has accomplished nothing yet, which is a scary proposition for the rest of the league to grapple with.

“Right now, we have accomplished nothing,” Dickerson said when speaking to reporters recently. “We are 0-0, and we’re here to work.”

Part of the reason for the Eagles’ success is their relentless mindset. Even amid all their success in the postseason last year, the only thing they were focused on was winning their next game. That starts with winning in the trenches, where Philadelphia’s star-studded offensive line makes them nearly unstoppable at times.

With Dickerson back alongside fellow stars like Lane Johnson, Jordan Mailata, and Cam Jurgens, there’s reason to believe that the Eagles will continue to have immense amounts of success moving the football on offense. And if that proves to be true, they could have a good shot of repeating as champions in 2025.
