Eagles ready to bring fireworks as one of the most exciting teams in 2025

The Philadelphia Eagles provided plenty of excitement in 2024 after a 14-3 season and a Super Bowl win. Fans can expect more of that in 2025.

USA Today NFL reporter Michael Middlehurst-Schwartz provided a full 32-team ranking of the most to least exciting teams in the NFL going into the new year. The Eagles were ranked third behind the Baltimore Ravens and Buffalo Bills.

"Perhaps the Tush Push vote was a harbinger of things to come, as the Eagles don't look prone to relinquishing their perch atop the league anytime soon. The franchise that set the bar for aggressiveness, both on the field and in roster construction, should remain one of the most fascinating collections of talent, even as new pieces are worked in after a handful of noteworthy departures. Perhaps the weightiest subplot: How will new offensive coordinator maintain what Kellen Moore set in place while building on it as a first-time play caller?"

There's plenty of evidence to prove Eagles will be electric in 2025

One of the easiest examples of how this Eagles team will be more exciting than any other team in the NFL: Saquon Barkley. Last year's leading rusher in the NFL electrified fans with an NFL record 2,504 yards in the regular season and playoffs, coming up with explosive runs after explosive runs. The reigning Offensive Player of the Year shows no signs of slowing down with essentially the same offensive line in front of him.

Fans can eat their hearts out with A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith as the best one-two punch at wide receiver in the NFL. Brown and Smith have the capabilities to go deep on one-on-one coverage and win contested deep balls. Jalen Hurts is lucky to have those two to throw it to every week.

Speaking of Hurts, people like to knock on him for his easy rushing scores through the Tush Push, but how often did fans see him use his legs to make plays? Hurts has mastered when to throw it deep to one of his guys or take the open space to run with the ball.

Last year, this offense was ranked in the top 10, but dominated in terms of time of possession. They will grind it out on the ground, which may not seem like the most exciting strategy, but Barkley and Hurts have perfected the ability to come up with extended run plays.

The Eagles have all the tools on offense to make them fun to watch in 2025 again.
