It’s time to add another prospect to BGN’s Philadelphia Eagles’ pre-draft visits tracker leading up to the 2025 NFL Draft.
The Birds will be hosting Kansas State cornerback Jacob Parrish at the NovaCare Complex, according to Jake Rabadi. (No relation to former Eagles punter/kicker Ken Parrish, as far as I know.)
Parrish is the No. 110 prospect ranked by Pro Football Focus.
The 21-year-old defender played 38 games from 2022-2024. He logged 19 passes defensed and six interceptions during that stretch.
Parrish mostly played as an outside cornerback but he also has nickel CB experience. Measuring in at 5’ 9¾”, 191 pounds, he could project as more of a slot option in the NFL.
The Eagles already have a lot of young talent at corner but they could still be looking for more depth at nickel corner. They could also move Cooper DeJean to the outside if they find a new slot guy they really like, though keeping DeJean where he is seems preferable at the moment.
Scouting report via NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein:
Two-year starter with ball skills and athleticism for inside/outside versatility. Parrish glides around the field powered by quick feet and smooth hips. He can stay tight to underneath routes from press man and plays with poise and timing when the throw goes deep. He has adequate long speed and twitchy short-area burst to challenge throws from off-man and zone but struggles to gather and redirect quickly to match comebacks and double-breakers. He played with better coverage physicality in 2024 but is still lacking as a run defender and open-field tackler. He needs more seasoning but has the athletic tools and ball skills to compete for a role as a CB3.
