Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown had his car stolen over the weekend and attempted to let the thief off scot-free.
Brown took to social media Monday morning to give whoever stole his car an ultimatum.
“Dear Philly- To whoever stole my car last night, I’ll make a deal with you,” Brown wrote on X, before later deleting the post. “Bring back my car and I won’t press charges, or when I find you today, it’s going to be what it’s going to be. Take it or leave it my guy.”
Brown even went as far to post a video on Instagram, doubling down that he would not press chargers if the car was returned.
“Come on Philly, you stole my whip last night,” Brown said. “I’ll make a deal with you bro, just bring the whip back bro, I won’t press charges … you’re smooth with it, though, you pulled up at 3:42, you got up out of there at 3:45. You’re fast on your feet, real fast, but I’ll show you how fast I am on my feet … you might as well pull back up and drop [the car] off bro. We know where you’re at right now.”
Two more hours went by, and Brown posted another video with a final update on his car and the burglar.
"I'm out here grinding for the Philadelphia Eagles, and I've got to look for my car. Come on, man," Brown said. "But look, we already got the whip. See, I told you to just turn the car back in … now you gotta deal with the consequences, man.”
It looks like the car thief won't be getting a second chance after all.
