After playing on Monday night, the Philadelphia Eagles (1-1) have a quick turnaround before they play again on Sunday for their Week 3 game against the New Orleans Saints (2-0).
Because of that, the team held a walkthrough on Wednesday and returned to regular practice on Thursday.
Only two players were on Wednesday's estimated injury report as non-participants: starting wide receiver A.J. Brown (hamstring) and rookie wide receiver Johnny Wilson.
Along with Brown and Wilson, starting safety C.J. Gardner Johnson (foot) was unexpectedly added to Thursday's injury report and did not practice.
Below is the Eagles' injury report following Thursday's practice:
Eagles Week 3 Injury Report Observations
- Gardner-Johnson's foot injury isn't expected to be anything major. However, if he is unavailable, the Eagles could move Avonte Maddox to starting safety with Reed Blankenship.
- Wilson was on last week's injury report with a hamstring injury but was available on Monday night and played 19 snaps.
- Brown was ruled out on Monday night and reportedly expected to miss a "couple" of weeks. However, head coach Nick Sirianni told reporters on Wednesday that it's “too early to tell” if Brown will play Sunday or not. He added that the team will have two game plans for if he does play, and if he doesn’t play.
- With Brown ruled out on Monday the Eagles leaned on DeVonta Smith and Britain Covey.
- Cornerback Isaiah Rodgers (hand) has not popped up on this week's injury report so far which is a good sign that he should be available and ready to play against New Orleans.
- Devin White (ankle), Milton Williams (foot), and Fred Johnson (thumb), who were also on last week's injury report, participated in Wednesday's walkthrough.
