On Sunday, March 2 at the 2025 Academy Awards, Anora took home some of the biggest trophies of the night including Best Picture, Best Actress in a Leading Role for its star Mikey Madison, Best Director for Sean Baker, as well as Best Original Screenplay and Best Editing.
Months before the Academy Awards, Erike spoke to The Daily Dish and reacted to the Oscar buzz that had been surrounding the film since its 2024 release.
"I'm out performing, which I think is wonderful. And I'm actually hosting a screening for the movie Anora, which won the Palme d'Or at Cannes, and one of my songs ["Drip"] is in it. So, it's fun. Erika Jayne's music is out there," she said in late 2024 (the screening took place in November 2024). As for the award season chatter the film was receiving, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member added late last year, "Can you imagine?! I mean, like this song that I recorded a few years ago, where I was like, 'Eh,' and now here it is. It's in Anora."
The Brooke Candy track featuring Erika Jayne, "Drip," was originally released in 2019 and later found new life several years later, when it landed in Anora.

Erika celebrated the film's 2025 Academy Awards win by reposting multiple messages of congratulations about her song, Drip, being featured in the movie. Bozoma Saint John was among those who marked the big moment for Erika on Instagram Stories, writing in a post that Erika also shared, "So basically, [Erika] won an adjacent [Academy] Award since her song is featured in this Oscar winning Best Picture film!"

Erika just wrapped up her second run as Roxie Hart in Chicago on Broadway. She revealed more about her career today in the RHOBH After Show clip at the top of the post, including a big gig this summer alongside Kesha.
