The NFL Combine's on-field workouts haven't started as this story is being published. We haven't even ventured into March. That means the beginning of the 2025 league year is still two weeks away. The Philadelphia Eagles can't even TALK about players if they are under contract with another team.
Who the heck cares? None of that has any bearing on what might be the most-talked-about Birds rumor floating. Howie can't mention him, and he hasn't. But, we most certainly have.
Here's the short version of the story. Myles Garrett wants out of Cleveland. He no longer wants to be a member of the Browns. He was asked about Philly, and had no issue with stating he'd love to join the Eagles.
Getting that deal would take some doing, seeing as the Browns have already stated they have no desire to ship Garrett off. No one wants to keep disgruntled guys around though, right?
We know what that means. Cleveland is going to play hard ball during trade negotiations. Teams must be willing to spend if they're going to land one of the best defensive players at the professional level.
ESPN's Jeremy Fowler furthers the rumors that the Eagles are Myles Garrett's most logical destination.
While it can be tiring to hear Philly is connected to every player who wants out of his current deal or organization, the Garrett angle is interesting because he is interested and the deal makes so much sense on both sides.
ESPN's Jeremy Fowler added some fuel to the rumor mill's fire with a recent take he shared. He believes Philly is the most logical destination, the Washington Commanders are another, and the Birds might be further interested in Garrett to keep him out of Washington's hands.
While we aren't certain if any of that is accurate, those are certainly great conversation pieces.
With that being said, an immediate question comes to mind. What would be the Brows' asking price be? We're going to assume the bidding starts with two first-round draft choices.
