ESPN Releases Historic Ja'Marr Chase News After Regular Season

The 2024 NFL regular season has officially concluded, following a "Sunday Night Football" matchup between the Detroit Lions and Minnesota Vikings.

ESPN Releases Historic Ja'Marr Chase News After Regular Season

After the primetime game, in which the Lions defeated Minnesota 31-9, ESPN made an announcement regarding Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase.

Chase secured an extremely rare feat, earning the NFL's triple crown, meaning he leads all pass catchers in receptions, touchdowns and receiving yards.

"JA'MARR CHASE IS THE TRIPLE CROWN KING," Chase said.

According to ESPN, Chase became the second player in NFL history to achieve the triple crown since 2005.

Chase finished the 2024 season with 17 touchdowns, 1,708 yards and 127 receptions. In the Bengals' recent 19-17 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers, Chase's last game of the regular season, he recorded one touchdown and 96 yards on 10 receptions.

The last player to achieve the triple crown was Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp in 2021.

Chase helped lead the Bengals to a 9-8 record on the season. They finished the year riding a five-game win streak, narrowly missing the NFL playoffs.

The Bengals wide receiver was primarily aided by MVP candidate Joe Burrow. Cincinnati's star quarterback finished the season with 43 touchdowns and 4,918 passing yards, both of which are ranked at No. 1 in the NFL.
