Ex-Pittsburgh Steelers player warns George Pickens about future: ‘If You Gonna Be a Cancer, You Gotta Go’

Former Pittsburgh Steelers offensive lineman Kendall Simmons warned George Pickens that if he is going to be a nuisance for the Steelers in the locker room, then the team may look to move him.

Latest George Pickens report further proves the Steelers' culture has reached an all-time low

Simmons appeared on the Joba and the Mouth Show to talk about Pickens, and Simmons believes that the attitude Pickens carries is the one thing holding him back from becoming an All-Pro.

"‘If you gonna be a cancer, you gotta go,” Simmons said on the Joba and the Mouth Show. “To me, it’s that simple. George, he has to own things and stuff that he like and he don’t like. But he has a superstar ability, I really do believe that. It’s just the off-the-field stuff that is gonna keep him from being All-Pro and all those different accolades that he could possibly get just based on his talent. I don’t see him being there for much longer. He’s going to wear out his welcome if he hasn’t already.”

Pickens' talent is immense and the Steelers still lack any answers at the wide receiver besides him. So, they either have to move him if they do not want to pay him, or pay him this offseason as he heads into the last year of his contract.

Pickens was inconsistent at times and dealt with issues on the field. He has been embroiled in controversy over the entire season. Even Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin acknowledged that Pickens needed to ‘grow up,’ but the Steelers remain in a tough spot with Pickens as the only wide receiver of note on the roster.

The Steelers must decide if paying Pickens would be in their best interests. If not, they could look to decide what his future with the team looks like this offseason when they have to fix the position.
