San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan leaves fans feeling sad after he confirmed the team's fears about Brandon Aiyuk's latest injury.

Aiyuk was carted off the field late in the second quarter of their Week 7 showdown with the Kansas City Chiefs after taking a low hit to his right knee from Chamarri Conner.

Slow-mo video of the hit showed Aiyuk's knee bending awkwardly to the side, raising fears that it could be an ACL or MCL injury.

In his postgame presser, Shanahan admitted that the 49ers are worried Aiyuk tore his ACL, per Adam Schefter of ESPN. Depending on the severity, an ACL injury can take months to heal.

“Brandon Aiyuk had a knee, we're worried it's an ACL. Not confirmed yet, but we'll find out for sure tomorrow," Shanahan shared.

"That’s awful news," a fan said. Another one wrote, "Terrible news!"

"That's not good. Prayers for Aiyuk for a speedy recovery," a social media user shared.

Another follower shared that they are still holding out hope, saying, "Hope that’s not true. Terrible."

"I'm sad," a fifth supporter added. A fan further said, "That's bad news."

More details about Brandon Aiyuk's injury should come out in the next couple of days once the 49ers conduct more tests. As things currently stand, though, it's not looking good for Aiyuk and the Niners.
