Fans won't agree with Cameron Jordan's plan before retirement

Cameron Jordan gave fans an insight on his future plans in an interview with Kay Adams on the Up & Adams Show. Jordan thinks he has three productive years left in an already illustrious career. Obviously plans can change, but it creates a timeline for the 15 year veteran.

“In my mind, I have three great years left and then we’ll get out of here.” Jordan said, “It could switch up in the next six months, I’m not holding myself to it, I’m not married to three years. But, let's see how it goes.”

It’s important to note that Jordan isn’t guaranteeing three more years. That’s what he believes he can do, but anything can happen over the season. He makes it clear that he isn’t fully set on three more seasons and will do whatever is best for him. Jordan will take it year by year from now to the end of his career. Saints fans can only hope he makes it the full timeline.

Jordan's play may be decreasing, but he is still valuable to the team

The 2025 season will be paramount in determining the rest of Jordan’s career. His play has decreased the past two years, only totaling six sacks. His snap counts reached a career low in 2024, only playing 565 snaps.

This has caused fans to speculate his career ending as they don’t believe he has much left in the tank. However, Jordan is set out to prove that he not only can impact the team, but thrive in his final years.

Regardless of his play on the field, Jordan’s temperament and leadership off the field is irreplaceable. Even if he isn’t in his prime, he is still such a valuable player to New Orleans. The Saints are losing a long time captain and a leader of this team when he does hang up the cleats.

Despite getting older, Cameron Jordan still feels like he has three more good years left in his NFL career. Even if his play does decline, his leadership off the field will be a major loss for the Saints when he calls it a career.
