The former Alabama prep standout and Jacksonville State All-American has been one of the busiest special-teams players in the NFL since entering the league as fifth-round selection in the 2018 draft.

For the Miami Dolphins in 2024, Neal was on the field for a career-high 372 special-teams plays, which ranked 13th in the NFL. During his NFL career, Neal has had 2,086 special-teams plays in 114 regular-season games.

Only three Jacksonville State alumni have played in more NFL regular-season games than Neal, and he also has appeared in 10 postseason contests.

Neal also played 58 defensive snaps for the Dolphins in 2024. He has played 625 during his career, reaching a high of 174 with the Buffalo Bills in 2019.

Neal played his first six seasons with Buffalo. Last offseason, the Bills released Neal in a salary-cap purge with one season remaining on a three-year, $9 million contract extension.

Neal signed a one-year contract with Miami on March 13, 2024.

San Francisco said Neal signed a two-year contract. Terms were not announced.

During his NFL career, Neal has 126 tackles, seven passes defended, one sack, four tackles for loss, three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.
