For years now, the Dallas Cowboys have been teasing their fans with superb regular seasons, only to flop in the postseason. Former Cowboys wide receiver and Hall of Famer Terrell Owens predicts the 2024 season will be no different. In fact, he thinks the Texas team worth watching is actually the Houston Texans - not the Dallas Cowboys.

What did TO say about the Cowboys?

Owens spoke to the media ahead of the MLB All-Star Celebrity Softball Game on Saturday, and he shared his thoughts on the Dallas Cowboys’ upcoming season, and they didn’t leave a lot of room of hope.

“Obviously, every year there’s high hopes for the Dallas Cowboys,” Owens said. “Only for a lot of disappointment.”

He is absolutely not wrong and that sentiment is echoed by pretty much any Cowboys fan who’s been alive in the last two or three decades. It’s hard not to be jaded when they keep lifting you up only to beat you down even further, year after year.

He did mention that, on the contrary, the Houston Texans will be an exciting team to watch this season. The Texans made it all the way to the Divisional Round of the playoffs with rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud, ultimately losing 34-10 to the Baltimore Ravens. Now that they’ve added one of the best receivers in the league with Stefon Diggs, they’re expected to perform even better.

“There’s two football teams here in Texas,” Owens said. “If I had to tip my hat to one of those teams to go far, I would say the Houston Texans.”
