Former Jets WR Makes Big Prediction About Garrett Wilson

For years, the New York Jets have struggled with subpar quarterback play.

FLORHAM PARK, NEW JERSEY - JUNE 11: Garrett Wilson #5 of the New York Jets participates in drills during New York Jets Mandatory Minicamp at Atlantic Health Jets Training Center on June 11, 2024 in Florham Park, New Jersey.

However, that hasn’t stopped Garrett Wilson from being one of the best wide receivers in the game.

Production-wise, Wilson’s stat sheets looks like those who get to play with competent quarterbacks.

That’s why, now that he’s going to be running routes for one the greatest passers the game has ever seen, expectations are as high as they’ll ever be for him.

At least, that’s how Brandon Marshall feels.

Talking about him, the former Jets star claimed that he thinks he can become the best wide receiver in the game (via Paul Andrew Esden Jr).

He stated that he has the same heart and ability as guys like Justin Jefferson or Davante Adams.

Marshall also predicted we would be in for a big breakout year with Wilson, adding that he wouldn’t be shocked if he were to top the 1,400 or 1,500-yard plateau and that this would be a very fun year for the New York Jets.

Granted, Wilson will share the field with several talented playmakers, so perhaps touches will be harder to come by this time around.

Then again, he should still be considered to be the No. 1 option for the passing game, and we’ve already seen what a guy like Aaron Rodgers is able to do when he has a clear-cut WR1.

Wilson is just getting started, and don’t be shocked if he has a first-team All-Pro kind of campaign with Rodgers behind center.
