Former Saints running back may try to get revenge on New Orleans after latest report about his free agency interest

The New Orleans Saints running back room looks fairly similar as it did a season ago. They did add Devin Neal in the draft, but Alvin Kamara still headlines the group, and Kendre Miller is still a young player in the fold who is hoping to make an impact.

Clyde Edwards-Helaire was also brought back earlier this offseason. With the return and addition to the room, the Saints moved on from RB Jordan Mims earlier in the offseason. He was buried on the depth chart in New Orleans but could join a new team sometime soon.

Running back Jordan Mims worked out for Tennessee Titans

According to Aaron Wilson, the Titans worked out Jordan Mims, a former Saints running back. Mims spent a lot of time on the active roster last season and provided depth in the backfield and on special teams for New Orleans.

The Titans did sign RB Tyrion Davis-Price on Monday. That's not a move that should prevent them from looking at other options, though.

That could prevent them from bringing in Mims on a contract, but you could argue that is a mistake. Davis-Price has spent three years in the NFL but never carved out a notable role. He carried the ball just three times last season for seven yards while on the Philadelphia Eagles.

Meanwhile, Mims totaled 70 rushing yards and caught 12 passes for 71 yards last season for the Saints. He has been in the NFL for two years. The coaching staff for the Saints appreciated his work ethic and commitment.

If Mims does somehow get a chance for the Titans with a deal, he would get a chance to play against the Saints this season. New Orleans will visit Tennessee in Week 17.
