Each week during The Golden Bachelorette, host Jesse Palmer answers a few questions about Joan's "journey" to find "love." Today, Jesse shares his thoughts via email about the season finale, including Chock's bold, meet-the-family kiss, Guy's heartbreak, and more.
ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: Joan started off the week feeling very low after Pascal broke up with her, but Nancy gave her the supportive-friend pep talk she needed. Is it me, or is Nancy the freaking best BFF ever?
JESSE PALMER: I thought Nancy was terrific! It was so heartbreaking to hear Joan say she felt unlovable. Nancy was a great sounding board and helped Joan get her confidence back.

When Chock first sat down with Joan's family, he started things off by giving her a kiss in front of everyone. It was a high-risk, high-reward move — what did you think about his decision?
Definitely can’t say Chock doesn’t have any guts! I think once Chock was able to speak to her children, he was able to put them at ease since they knew his intentions were pure.
Guy really seemed blindsided by Joan's decision in Bora Bora — what impressed you the most about their conversation when they reunited on stage?
I thought it was so evident that they still care a lot about each other and have so much respect for one another, which was great to see.
