Golden Bachelorette’s Jonathan Rone Gushes About ‘Loving’ His New Girlfriend

Jonathan Rone didn’t need to go on The Golden Bachelorette to find love. After being eliminated by Joan Vassos, he’s gushing over how much he loves new girlfriend Michelle Zimmermann.

“Birthday Bliss 62 – We celebrated my 62nd birthday this weekend! Born in 62 and turned 62!” Jonathan, 62, began in the caption of a Wednesday, November 20, Instagram post.

“So grateful and blessed for all that I have and don’t have! The moments shared between Michelle are truly special! I’m Loving Loving her,” he sweetly added.

The photos showed the smiling couple cuddled up over dinner, several cute selfies together, the duo twinning in matching gray tank tops and Kansas City Chiefs baseball caps while sitting on a beach and being matchy-matchy again in lemon yellow tops on a coastal hike in Southern California.

Fans were thrilled to find out Jonathan found love after appearing on The Golden Bachelorette. He was eliminated by Joan, 61, just before the hometown dates.

“Left the show and received a bigger prize! Beautiful couple congratulations,” one person commented, as another wrote, “Congrats Jonathan you’re an incredible catch and it looks like you found someone to match!”

“You 2 look great together. You actually had my eye during the show!! So happy for you sir. Best of luck,” one viewer told Jonathan, as another added, “Happy Birthday! Y’all look SO good together. I’m happy that you found love. Enjoy each other.”

The Oakland, Iowa, resident revealed during the Men Tell All special that he began dating someone new after appearing on The Golden Bachelorette. In a November 10 Instagram post, Jonathan opened up about his new girlfriend but didn’t initially show Michelle’s face.

“‘So, I Dropped The Bomb’ … I started my journey looking for love, a love that is a forever love. A love I thought I once had but this was my second chance! So, I went all in with no walls to protect my vulnerability! I had no other intentions than that!” he explained about appearing on The Golden Bachelorette and hoping for something with Joan.

“This journey can be full of expectations but the unexpected happened and ‘The Bomb’ is the second chance I’ve been looking for! I am so grateful for all the support and kind words from all you in the Bachelor Nation! I’m happy to say that Michelle is truly ‘My Bomb,'” he added.

Photos showed a close up of the pair holding hands, along with a photo of Jonathan holding Michelle’s dog while posing in front of San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge. He included several other photos showing his appearance on the Men Tell All special.

While Jonathan tagged Michelle, her account is set to private so fans didn’t get to see what she looked like until later that day, when he posted a photo of her sitting on his lap with the caption, “WE DO US REALLY WELL.”

Joan said she was aware of how some of her contestants had gone to find romance after competing on her season. The school administrator ultimately gave her final rose to Chock Chapple, who proposed during the season finale in Bora Bora.

“There are already five guys from this season [now] involved with somebody. They came off of this and they were popular guys, and I’m not surprised that some of them have girlfriends already!” Joan told Us Weekly in an interview published on Wednesday, November 20.
